Dallas, March 7-13, 2010, Swami Nikhilanandji delivered a series of speeches explaining the Narad Bhakti Darshan in English. Narad Bhakti Darshan is a scripture written by Sage Narad in the form of 84 Sanskrit sutras (codified sentences). Naradji is the first acharya of bhakti, and this scripture is considered one of the most important on the topic of bhakti.

This series of speeches by Swami Nikhilanandji was based on the explanation of the Narad Bhakti Darshan given by Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj in Hindi. This series of speeches of Kripaluji Maharaj is a favorite of the devotees.

Although the sutras of the Narad Bhakti Darshan were written for the people of kaliyug, it is still not possible to study this scripture on one's own. As is advised by the Vedas and all other scriptures, the meaning of any Divine scripture must be learned from a God realized Saint. Even a Sanskrit scholar cannot comprehend the philosophy behind the sutras, although he may be able to translate the literal meaning of the words. Listening to the interpretations of such people only creates confusion in the mind of a seeker. But when a soul listens to the philosophy explained by a Divine personality such as Kripaluji Maharaj, confusion is removed and the philosophy becomes crystal clear. The series of speeches given by Kripaluji Maharaj on the Narad Bhakti Sutras explains all the most important aspects of bhakti and reveals many secrets about the Divine world and devotional path which one could not know simply by reading the sutras.

In his series of speeches at the Hanuman Temple in Frisco (Dallas), Texas, Swami Nikhilanandji summarized in English the speeches of Kripaluji Maharaj on the Narad Bhakti Sutra. The crowd which attended the 7-day discourse learned the main topics of the sutras, including:

- the definition of bhakti (Divine love)
- the goal of every soul is to go beyond mokch (liberation)
- the 3 things you need to know to follow the path of bhakti
- the relationship of a soul with God
- the definition of true selfless bhakti
- whether to worship multiple forms of God, or only one
- the keys to balancing life in the world with following the path of bhakti
- how Naradji says bhakti should be done
- what is the best historical example of bhakti
- why the Gopis are viewed as the topmost Saints

By carefully understanding the teachings of the Narad Bhakti Darshan as explained by Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj, one can improve his progress on the path of bhakti and come closer to his goal of God realization in this lifetime.

Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj - Narad Bhakti SutraJagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj teaches that bhakti is eternal. It is the eternally existing path to attain God. God is one, so the path of His attainment is also one, and thus, the same path of bhakti ensures the attainment of any of the forms of God.

The path of bhakti is prevalent in every brahmand of this entire universe and it is for all the souls of this universe. It remains the same in all the four yugas (satyug, treta, dwapar and kaliyug) and, as it is directly related to soul and God, it is above caste, creed, sect and nationality. It can be adopted by any person of any nation of this world, because it is gifted by the supreme God Himself for the benefit of the humankind; and again, there are no physical requirements in doing bhakti.

There are no meditation postures to adopt, no concentration techniques to follow and no rituals to observe. So it can be done by anyone, young, old or sick, and at any time in twenty-four hours, because bhakti is the pure love of your heart that longs to meet the Divine beloved of your soul in this very lifetime. The philosophy of bhakti is described in Narad Bhakti Darshan and explained by Jagadguru Shree Kripaluji Maharaj. (Picture: Sage Narad Ji who revealed the Narad Bhakti Darshan).
